Something was calling me to make songs and music. Maybe just some inner spark the process produced. I don't know. But from the moment I had an instrument to do it, I was putting the structures together and making up themes and ideas. And this came first before any desire to make music an avenue of personal expression. It was more the love for a craft, like an artist would love working with canvas and oil paints, or shaping clay into images.
